10 matchsticks each in 10 matchboxes. Every matchstick weighs 1 gram except in one matchbox which weighs 2 grams.
With just a weighing machine and allowed to weigh only once, how will u pick the odd matchbox out? |

Easy one....
Well take 1 stick from 1st box, 2 from 2nd... 10 from 10th. Now if all were weighing of 1 gram, then we would have weight= (1+2+3..+10)*1 = 55gm. Now weigh all of them together see the final answer then subtract 55 fromtht n u will know which matchbox had the 2gram walla matchsick for example if 3rd one was faulty so it wuld be 1+2+3*2+4+5+6+7+8+9+10 =58 now 58 -55 = 3rd ENJOY |
